Hello, beauts! I’m so glad to be back—I really missed writing these blogs. I was away for a bit because I was sleep-deprived from taking care of my baby, fell behind on chores, and ended up getting sick. Needless to say, it’s been a hectic few days. I’m still a little under the weather, but I’m feeling much better now. Okay, let’s get back into it!
In case it goes over anyone’s head, the reason I’m talking about Joe Jonas’s relationships is that I wanted to explore what happened to him after things with Demi didn’t work out the first time. To be honest, I didn’t expect my research to go as deep as it did—but that tends to happen whenever I start digging into a celebrity’s history.
I’d like to remind everyone that this isn’t meant to hate on Joe Jonas. Whenever I talk about celebrities, it’s because I actually have a liking or interest in them. If I ever disliked someone, I’d make that clear. I just enjoy researching and trying to understand their actions in a balanced way.
Okay, now let’s get started. I just finished covering what happened between Joe Jonas, Taylor Swift, and Camilla Belle—and most people can agree that it was a messy situation. Now we’re moving on to when Joe and Camilla announced their breakup. But honestly, so much more happened than just a breakup. I can confidently say that Joe and Camilla’s relationship was far more controversial than Joe and Taylor’s.

One thing that many people seem to forget is that when Camilla met Joe Jonas, she was actually in a relationship with Tom Sturridge. There’s very little information about the ex-couple because they chose to keep their relationship private. It was so private that most people didn’t even know she was dating him. When questioned about their relationship, they claimed that they were just friends.
Their relationship began in January 2006 and reportedly ended in October 2008, meaning Joe and Camilla were both in relationships when they met each other. If they did break up with their respective partners for one another, they may have justified it in their minds by saying things like, “What we did wasn’t wrong—we were meant to be together,” or “I’m so much happier in my new relationship,” or even “I must be worth so much if he chose me over her.” That doesn’t sound far-fetched, especially since Joe Jonas dedicated a song to Camilla implying she was “much better.” Taylor also confirmed that they broke up because Joe left her for Camilla.
However, if they did end their relationships for each other, there would naturally be guilt over how it happened, along with missing the things their exes used to do for them. Once the honeymoon phase ends, their problems become more apparent. Lastly, there’s that anxious feeling—can they truly trust each other when they both betrayed their exes? Which brings me to my next topic.
B. Camilla and Robert Cheating Rumors
Around November, when Joe and Camilla were officially public, multiple reports surfaced claiming that Camilla and Robert Pattinson were more than just friends. Look, I know celebrities often need stories about themselves to stay relevant, but when it comes to potential cheating rumors in Hollywood, they’re often at least partially true. Even if no actual cheating occurred, rumors like these can still put a strain on the relationship. Keep in mind, though, this is just a rumor.
C. Joe Jonas Is Quickly Seen with Brenda Song After his Relationship with Camilla
One of the oddest things about this next story is that I couldn’t find any major publication covering Joe and Brenda—it’s almost as if they didn’t want anyone to know something was going on between them. Joe and Demi tried to keep their relationship private too, but eventually, we saw them together at public events as a couple. However, most videos of Joe and Brenda have been erased.
On July 27, 2009, Joe and Camilla announced that they had broken up. It’s unclear whether it was because things simply weren’t working out or because he had started to mess around again. The last time I could find them publicly together was at the beginning of July 2009.
What I found is that as early as July 19, 2008, fans began to suspect that Joe and Brenda were together. Even though the dates don’t technically overlap, do you find this close timeline suspicious or normal?
Here’s something I want to establish first: Selena Gomez and Nick Jonas dated on and off between 2008 and 2010. Sometimes it was unclear when they were together or not, but one night confirmed that they were indeed a couple. On July 13, 2009, during the Jonas Brothers’ Burnin’ Up concert in Anaheim, California, I noticed that they sometimes brought their girlfriends—or the people they were seeing at the time—to their shows. Selena Gomez was at that concert, sitting with her family and the Jonas Brothers’ family. I know the quality of the video is blurry, but that’s definitely Selena Gomez in the crowd. Stay with me—I have a point here.
Brenda Song was at the concert as well—and why am I bringing her up? Well, first of all, whenever Brenda is spotted at one of those concerts and there’s video proof of it, the footage seems to get scrubbed from the internet. Why is Brenda Song so hidden when she’s merely attending a concert? There’s actually a lot of evidence suggesting that Brenda and Joe were seeing each other around July 2009. It’s unclear whether it was a full-on relationship or something non-exclusive, but neither of them has ever confirmed that this relationship existed.
The only reason I knew she was there was because a witness tipped me off—if that tip hadn’t existed, I wouldn’t have found the video.
It’s understandable that it was new and they didn’t want to put their business out there. However, Joe Jonas said something interesting in a 2013 Vulture article. Read it thoroughly and I’ll give you my two cents on what he said. Side note: is it just me, or do Brenda and Selena look like they’d rather be anywhere but there? What do you think?
There are so many things about the article that stand out to me. When Joe said that he “snuck around” with this girl, it immediately made me think of the photo of Nick, Joe, and a woman who is supposedly Brenda Song at a Kings of Leon concert. Normally, I’d take this with a grain of salt—but why would a fan claim it was her without trying to accuse anyone of anything suspicious? Instead, the fan simply said they saw Brenda Song backstage. Also, Nick looks like he got caught doing something.
What I believe happened is that the band and their families were aware of their companionship but wanted to keep it a secret because their relationship didn’t look good for the band—keep in mind, this is just my suspicion. Let’s go back to the article.
Joe Jonas said that he would hook up with her. We know that “hooking up” could mean kissing or having casual sex. So what Joe Jonas is saying is that they were intimate in her car, but he never specifically stated what they were doing. He was worried that their hook-up would be publicized because she was also working for Disney. By all accounts, the only girl who fits this description is Brenda—it wouldn’t be Demi, because their encounters were leaked in relation to public settings.
There were fans who took photos with Nick and Brenda, and the odd thing is that these fans referred to Brenda as Joe’s “groupie.” If Brenda was Joe’s groupie, then all the sneaking around would make sense. It would explain the potential impact on their so-called purity rings commitment and their Disney image. Also, Nick looks a little worried with that half-smile—but what do you think?
I have a theory as to why they went to such lengths to keep this relationship a secret, but keep in mind, it’s just a theory—I am not confirming anything. To be an escort, you need to be at least 18 years old to participate. It’s also common for workers to use a stage name to protect their privacy. There were rumors that Brenda Song was an escort. Her picture was leaked to the public, and she ended up suing the company for using it without her permission.
If this is true, then having her seen with the Jonas Brothers—or even having a casual relationship—would have put a bad name on the group. Once again, this is just a rumor and a theory.
I’m going to share the rest of my findings on Instagram and TikTok, but I’ll leave it here for now. As a kid, I remember being in awe of these Disney Channel shows, but now that nostalgia doesn’t cloud my perspective, we truly don’t know who these celebrities are. At the end of the day, all they’re here to sell is entertainment.
